Vacuum Heat Treatment Furnace

Hardening in vacuum for maximum hardness with minimal distortion.

Heat treatment is what turns a machined shape into a tool. Treating in vacuum rather than open atmosphere prevents surface oxidation and scaling, and gives a more even result through the section.

Because treatment is in-house, tools are not queued at an outside heat treater — which is usually the single largest variable in tooling lead time.

Manufacturing purpose

Hardening finished tooling to working hardness and wear resistance.

Capabilities

  • Vacuum atmosphere — no scaling or decarburisation
  • Even through-section results
  • Minimal distortion
  • In-house scheduling

Why this matters

Hardness and wear resistance are the properties a customer actually buys. Doing this in-house controls both the result and the lead time.
