Cylindrical Grinding
Outside-diameter grinding of punches, pins and die bodies.
Cylindrical grinding finishes outside diameters to size and roundness after hardening, and is where the concentricity established in turning is finally guaranteed.
Punch shanks and KO pins are finished here, because seating and ejection both depend on the diameter being right along its whole length.
