Optical comparison of the finished form against the drawing.
The profile projector magnifies the tool's form and projects it so it can be compared directly against the drawing. Forms that cannot be reached with a gauge can be verified this way.
This is the last check before packing — a tool that does not match its drawing does not leave the floor.
