Die-Sinking EDM
Sinking internal cavities and profiles into hardened tool steel.
Die-sinking EDM produces internal forms that a cutter cannot reach or that would break a cutter attempting them. It works by electrical discharge rather than mechanical cutting, so hardness is not an obstacle.
This is how hex bores, cavity forms and internal relief are produced in already-hardened material.
Manufacturing purpose
Producing internal cavities, bores and profile forms in hardened tool steel.

Capabilities
- Cavity and profile sinking
- Work in fully hardened material
- Complex internal forms
- 500 × 300 and 510 × 300 work envelopes
Why this matters
Cold-forging dies are hardened before their final form is finished. Without EDM, those forms could not be produced at all.
